Our Team

City Life CRC Church believes as Jesus taught ‘go and make disciples.’ Our team believes in dicipleship and leading by example in the way Jesus showed us in the gospels.

We believe our core team is given by the Holy Spirit to lead in this way and to help in the raising up of up and coming leaders, by this same example.

Meet Your Senior Pastors

James and Dorcas Mwendwa

James and Dorcas are originally from Kenya, East Africa. We have dedicated our lives to discipleship and spiritual growth through fellowship, God's Word, and prayer. Our passion is to be truly qualified witnesses of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, empowered by the anointing of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), as we disciple and equip others for ministry. We draw deep inspiration from the example of Jesus Christ, a servant leader whose service was marked by love, compassion, and a commitment to empowering others.

James and Dorcas are actively involved in church planting, Bible teaching, and prophetic and healing ministries. Their mission is to equip the body of Christ for the end-time harvest. As a result, they travel frequently and extensively to minister, train, and inspire leaders. They encourage others to pursue the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ diligently, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, so that all may be continually filled with the fullness of God (2 Corinthians 13:14, Ephesians 3:19) as they serve Him.

Meet The Associate Pastor

Isabel Baker

My first memory of Jesus is as a 4-yr old being taken by a neighbour to Methodist Sunday school and seeing the parable of the good Samaritan being acted out with dolls in a sandpit. As a 12yr old my school friend asked me to a Church of Christ girls camp and there I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. In the third year of my nursing training another nurse invited me to attend a healing meeting at St Andrew Anglican Cathedral in Sydney where I met a group of young people who were Baptised in the Holy Spirit. Soon I too experienced the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

in !978 my husband and our small children followed a call to leave Melbourne and join Now Ministry church in Wagga which over time has evolved in City Life CRC. For over 55yrs I have continued to grow in my personal relationship with God. I have taught Sunday School, ran youth group, home group and prayer in the church. I was involved with combined churches activities run by Inter School Christian Fellowship and Fusion sharing the gospel message. I raised my family as a single mother from 1987 while worked as a specialist dementia nurse and I recently wrote “A to Z of Dementia Care”.

Since 1992 I have been involved in short term missions both here and overseas. Beginning with SU beach mission at Bermagui and then from 2000 Children’s camp ministry in Russia and Estonia, I also went on ministry trips to Fiji, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines and China.  In 2003 I was ordained as a specialist Pastor in the CRC. I continue to preach, teach and share the good news of Jesus love for all mankind.
